December 07, 2009

Personal Injury law firm helps to keep Capital Region stars connected with the region by sponsoring induction ceremony at Proctors Theatre.

Niskayuna, NY, December 7, 2009 –– On September 19, 2009, Martin, Harding & Mazzotti sponsored the Capital Region Entertainment Hall of Fame Induction at Proctors Theatre in Schenectady, NY. The night’s festivities honored those with Capital Region roots who have made a tremendous contribution to the entertainment industry.

“Proctors continues to ‘wow’ us with their productions, and this one honoring the Capital Region’s best was no different,” said Paul B. Harding, managing partner of Martin, Harding & Mazzotti and member of the Proctors Theatre Board of Directors. “Martin, Harding & Mazzotti is proud to be a part of such an important piece of our community.”

This year’s Hall of Fame Induction honored Bruce Jordan and Marilyn Abrams, the producers of the thriller-comedy “Shear Madness” by Maureen O’Sullivan, the deceased star of stage and screen and mother to Mia Farrow; Guha and Karthik Bala, the founders of Vicarious Visions which developed the video game sensation Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock; and Gregory Maguire, the author of “Wicked.”
"Since 1926, Proctors, a historic, beautifully restored theatre located in the heart of downtown Schenectady, has presented the very best in entertainment for New York's Capital Region." says Proctors' website

The web site continues, "Originally built as a Vaudeville House, Proctors has seen its stage graced by such legendary performers as comedians: Red Skelton, George Burns and Gracie Allen, magicians Harry Blackstone Sr. & Jr., and bandleaders Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and Glenn Miller. In recent years, we have hosted entertainers including Tony Bennett, Carol Channing and Robert Goulet. Singer Mariah Carey chose Proctors as the site for her first concert special in 1993, and the theatre is featured prominently in the video for her big hit 'Hero.'"

Not only does Harding and the firm support the community and the arts, in July, 2009, he was elected to Proctors’ Theatre, Board of Directors.
