Today’s featured business is Jacob & Anthony’s Italian in Albany. Not only because of their food, but because of all of the good they are doing in our community during the pandemic.

Marrello Restaruants & Catering, home of Jacob & Anthony’s, started a program called Meals to Heal to raise money to feed local health care workers, police, firefighters, and other first responders. About Spirit of the Capital Region:

At Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, we have been working on a project called The Spirit of the Capital Region (SOTCR). It’s a video series featuring the many local businesses, events, and charities that those in our area can be proud of. We were set to premiere the series, but due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to take the project in a different direction. Now, we will feature a local small business or organization in a short video blog on weekdays to get the word out about what they are currently offering, and how we as a community can support them (while practicing the recommended social distancing).

Today we wanted to feature Jacob and Anthony’s Italian in Albany for their food, and also for the good that they are doing in the community during the pandemic. Marrello Restaurants and Catering, home of Jacob & Anthony’s, has created a program called “Meals to Heal” during this crisis to raise money to feed local health care workers, police, firefighters, and other first responders.

They say they have received a ton of support and have already fed over 4,000 people! To us, this truly embodies the Spirit of the Capital Region, and we thank them for all they’re doing to help support the people keeping us safe. To learn more about the program, the restaurants involved, and how to help, visit their website shown here.

Jacob and Anthony’s updated their hours of operation to 4pm – 8pm Monday – Saturday and offer delivery through DoorDash, pickup, or curbside pickup. You can view their full menu online. They are available to take orders by phone at the number shown here, email, or directly through their social media.

Follow their pages listed in this post for all of the important updates!

Thank you for listening, and stay well. My name is Emily and this is the Spirit of the Capital Region: Social Distancing Edition.
