Brian Parker

I’m Brian Parker. I’m an attorney at Martin, Harding and Mazzotti. I worked at Legal Services of the Hudson Valley in White Plains, New York for six years and then I worked for a year for an attorney in Albany, Paul Gianetti and then I went to Martin, Harding and Mazzotti.

I like helping people get the disability benefits that they need to live. It’s a good feeling when you help somebody get what they need. The work I do is important because disabled people need the disability benefits from Social Security in order to live and pay their rent and buy food and all that important stuff. I think without an attorney, a lot less people would end up getting those benefits. So it’s important I do what I do.

One of the things that separates Martin, Harding and Mazzotti as a firm from other firms is the way they give back to the community with their taxi rides home on New Year’s Eve and their bike helmet programs and things like that.

Something that makes me good at my job is I’m good at reading. I’m detail-oriented. A lot of my job is reading medical records and looking for specific details. I think I’m good at that. I like practicing Social Security disability law because I like getting benefits for people who need them, struggling people who really need these benefits and have been denied and I like to be able to help them and get them the benefits that they need. I’ve been doing this for 10 years and I’ve been able to get benefits for a lot of people and I like seeing those results.

Yes, I’ve had some memorable cases where I’ve felt I really helped someone. There’s been a few cases that I’ve worked on for several years and gone through appeals and multiple hearings with the same client to eventually get them the benefits that they need.
