Rosemarie Riddell Bogdan has concentrated in the area of personal injury law since entering private practice over thirty years ago. She graduated from Cornell University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree and then earned her Juris Doctor degree from Albany Law School in 1992. More recently, Rosemarie earned a Master of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health, focusing her studies on Epidemiology. She completed her Capstone project in Epidemiology and earned Graduate Certificates in Epidemiology for Public Health Professionals and Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety.
After serving as a confidential law clerk for a New York State Supreme Court Justice, Rosemarie entered private practice in 1993. She has been a partner of Martin, Harding & Mazzotti since 1999.
Over the years, Rosemarie has had the privilege of representing individuals in all aspects of personal injury litigation. She has successfully handled cases in the New York State Supreme Courts, New York State Court of Claims, New York State Appellate Division, United States District Courts, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and Superior Courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
Her successes on behalf of clients can be found in various areas of personal injury practice, including defective medical devices, pharmaceuticals and other products, construction site safety, automobile liability, and defective roadway design. Rosemarie represents clients in multi-district litigations for injuries they suffered as a result of defective medical devices and defective drugs. She has been admitted pro hac vice to pursue these actions in numerous District Courts located throughout the United States, including those in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Texas.
Rosemarie is pleased to have been appointed by the Honorable Robert B. Kugler of the United States District Court, District of New Jersey, to a leadership position in the national In Re: Valsartan N-Nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) Contamination Products Liability Litigation. Rosemarie is serving as the Co-Science Chairperson of the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee. Additionally, she is honored to have been appointed to a leadership position on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the National Zantac Products Liability Litigation (In Re: Zantac (Ranitidine) Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2924) by the Honorable Robin L. Rosenberg. She was also appointed to serve on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the Bard Hernia Mesh (MDL No. 3029) National Product Liability Litigation. Rosemarie has also been appointed to a leadership position, serving on the Science and Experts Subcommittee, in the national Depo-Provera (Depot Medroxyprogesterone Acetate) Liability Litigation (MDL No. 3140) by Judge M. Casey Rodgers, who was assigned to preside over this important litigation by the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation.
Rosemarie is frequently asked to speak at continuing legal education seminars on topics such as defective drugs and medical devices, New York State Construction Safety Laws, and various other aspects of personal injury litigation. She is the past President of the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association (CDTLA), a not-for-profit corporation with the primary purpose of encouraging frequent consultation among its members to promote the profession and alleviate difficulties that members may encounter in the course of their practice. She is also a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Albany County Bar Association, National Trial Lawyers, Top 25 Mass Tort Trial Lawyers, and National Trial Lawyers Top 100. Rosemarie also serves the community through her volunteer work as a Board Member of the Cornell Club of the Greater Capital District and the Dake Foundation for Children.
