My name’s Vic Mazzotti. I’m the senior litigation partner for Harding Mazzotti. And we handle all types of personal injury cases as well as medical malpractice. So that’s kind of a tort field that we practice and conduct our litigation cases in.

Effective litigation, especially in the field of personal injury, requires an experienced attorney to conduct a very thorough investigation in preparing your case so that you see all the trees in the forest, that you eliminate issues that come up. And you do that through a very good investigation. It is expensive to prosecute especially bigger cases against insurance companies or big corporations or hospitals. But we do have the resources and we do have a vast amount of excellent, qualified experts that we work with to properly investigate and work up the case so that we can put forth our best effort to secure the best result that we can for our client.

On your business card it says, “Attorney and counselor at law,” but lots of times it’s more counselor. And what I mean by that is that, you know, when people have been wrongfully injured, a lot of issues come up. Their life has changed. They can’t go to work. They can’t support their family. They have medical bills coming in. And you have to be a good listener and try to explain to them the process that what’s going to happen by moving their case, you know, through the legal system and trying to help them as they go through these difficult times.

What I do during my free time is I love spending time with my two boys and our five granddaughters. And I love having them over our house. We try to vacation together. I also like to fish, so I do fishing, fish with my boys. I enjoy cooking. I learned that from my mom who was a great Italian cook. So I memorized all her recipes that I used to help while when I was young. And then when I was in high school, I had a full-time job in a kitchen. So I learned a little bit there and then I just continued to experiment. So that kind of relaxes me in my busy world.

I think community involvement is so important for businesses. It’s a tough world out there. And in my opinion, you know, when you get to the front of the line, you turn around, you help the next person behind you. And that’s the whole purpose about giving back and helping our community. And we all benefit from that. You know, when you’re nice, when you’re giving, it helps everyone, you know, and hopefully it spreads. That’s important to Harding Mazzotti.
