Project Description

Craig A. Cushing

My name is Craig Cushing. I’m an attorney with Martin, Harding & Mazzotti. I have responsibilities in several units in our office. I litigate files with our litigation unit. And I also have supervisory responsibilities in our case management unit, our Workers Compensation department, and our Social Security Disability department.

I’ve stayed at Martin, Harding & Mazzotti because primarily the people. It starts with the people, the partners, the people we work for, but that goes all the way down to our support staff and really the culture of the office in general. It’s a great place to work, very caring people. And there’s a real collaborative teamwork type of spirit in the office.

When I’m not at work, I’m trying to juggle my three children. I have three kids who, at this moment, are seven, five, and two. There’s a lot of Pokemon talk in my house, the boys wanna wrestle. I have had a tremendous amount of tea parties in the last year with my daughter. And I find that that’s what I end up spending most of my free time doing when I’m not at work and practicing.

I’ve had the opportunity now to work in most of the departments in our office. And and I would say, for sure, that the one thing that I find that’s consistent throughout the departments is just the general attitude and spirit of the people. Our co-workers, my co-workers are just very compassionate people that are all committed to helping their clients. You know, it sometimes…it almost feels like our job we’re paid to do almost charitable social work in a way. I mean, we’re helping our neighbors and people in our community. And I think everyone really truly understands that. And it can help you through difficult days. I mean, anybody can have a day where, you know, for whatever reason, it’s not going great, but when you remember that there’s a real human being that needs our help and we can all pull together to help that person, that’s a wonderful thing. And that’s something I feel like is really shared and reflected throughout our firm.
