Daniel P. Dagostino

My name is Daniel Dagostino. I’m the supervising attorney of marketing and business development, and also, I handle personal injury cases in the case management unit.

What inspired me to take this career path was when I was 21 years old, I started here as an intern for Paul Harding. Paul and I spent a lot of time together. I had the opportunity to watch him and learn from him the positive impact that we can have on communities and people when tragic things happen to them.

We’re a community firm. I think, when representing people, not only my job as a lawyer, but also working in the community, with different charities and different community advocates and unions, we try to learn more about what’s important to them and learn how to communicate and work together so that we can create a positive impact on the goals in which they have.

What I can tell you about how I connect with clients is I try to keep it as personal as possible. If I don’t really learn who the person is that I’m representing, I can’t tell their story. So I try to make myself accessible to all the clients I have. They have my cell phone number, my direct line at work, and can text me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I grew up in a blue-collar family. I had a father who worked for Niagara Mohawk, which is no longer in existence anymore. I had a mother who worked as a lunch lady in the school district in which we were in. I think what it’s taught me is it’s taught me to treat everyone the way that I would want to be treated. Growing up, I didn’t know a lawyer. We couldn’t afford a lawyer. So I try to remember where I came from and remember that, if anyone ever needs help and I’m able to do it, the biggest compliment someone can give me is to tell a friend or someone, “Hey, call Dan. He’ll help you.”

With the team we have here, we’re able to talk with each other in a non-competitive way towards each other, but in a competitive way, which helps our clients ultimately obtain better results than other firms. I’ve worked at other firms. Also, anyone would say that the partners that we have here work harder than the rest of the staff, and I think they lead by example. And I think, by having partners that you can look at and say, you know, “That’s what I should be like,” or, “That’s the way in which I should work,” really is much different than other places that I’ve worked at.

Daniel P. Dagostino

Admitted in New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, California and the District of Columbia

Daniel “Dan” Dagostino graduated in 1997 from the State University of New York at Albany with a degree in History. Following graduation he worked at Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, LLP as a legal assistant under the supervision of Paul Harding.

According to Dan, his first position with Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, LLP allowed him to obtain firsthand experience as to the emotional, physical and financial hardships injured persons endure as a result of an unexpected incident and the positive impact of Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, LLP during and after the legal matter concluded.

After working for approximately one year at the firm, Dan decided he wanted to become a lawyer and attended Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California. Upon graduating, he remained in Los Angeles and became admitted to practice in California. In Los Angeles, Dan litigated personal injury matters on behalf of injured persons as well as insurance carriers.

In 2006, a position opened in the Case Management Unit of Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, LLP and Dan anxiously returned to New York to join the team. “Upon returning to Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, LLP, I was glad to see that they had surpassed the level of legal and personal service of any firm which I had ever been employed.”

Since returning to Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, LLP, Dan has also become admitted to practice law in New York, Washington D.C. and Massachusetts. Currently, Dan remains as an attorney in the Case Management Unit whereby he is able to interact with clients throughout and after the conclusion of their legal matters. In addition, Dan has become the supervisor of our Worker’s Compensation and Social Security Disability Departments.

Dan is also very active in the community. Dan is a board member of the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG). Also, Dan is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and BNI (Latham Branch). BNI is the largest networking organization in the world.

“I can’t say enough about Dan Dagostino. He is always available when you need him. He listens attentively, he responds and advises to address whatever concern is there. He is awesome.”

Rhonda H., Five Star Google Review

This firm is very personable outside of the scope of what is expected as a client…immediate, accurate responses to any inquiries that may arise. Dan Dagostino is one of the best. What attorney calls you to make sure you are ok months after your injury..? Only the “heavy-hitters”.

Ricardo M., Five Star Google Review

“Dan Dagostino is amazing! He spent a few hours with me when I was first in the hospital and really took the time to get to me and showed how much he really cares! He then made sure he put me in the hands of one of the absolute best trial attorneys! Would recommend them to anyone!”
