James is originally from New York City. He attended the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill as an undergraduate and again for law school. Jim obtained his Juris Doctor 1996. He worked as a public defender in Nashville, Tennessee, and was an adjunct professor at the Vanderbilt School of Law. He is an experienced trial lawyer who is committed to protecting the rights of injured persons. He is licensed to practice in Vermont and Tennessee. He currently lives in Burlington Vermont with his wife, two teenage children and two dogs. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling and volunteering with Dismass House in Burlington.
