Today’s featured business is Pop’s Pizza in Cohoes. Now open 7 days a week, they offer pickup and delivery starting at 4 p.m. Monday – Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

At Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, we have been working on a project called The Spirit of the Capital Region (SOTCR). It’s a video series featuring the many local businesses, events, and charities that those in our area can be proud of. We were set to premiere the series, but due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to take the project in a different direction. Hi, my name is Emily. I work for Martin Harding & Mazzotti and this is The Spirit of the Capital Region: Social Distancing Edition. It’s Friday, and you know what that means – it’s the perfect night for pizza.

So, it’s totally fitting that today’s featured establishment is Pop’s Pizza in Cohoes. They are a local family-owned business that uses fresh ingredients, and makes their dough by hand every morning.

They were previously open only 4 days a week, but since the COVID crisis began they have extended their hours to be open 7 days a week.

Pop’s continues to offer pickup and delivery every day, opening at 4pm Monday through Saturday and 2pm on Sunday.

Aside from their pizza, they have started making dinners to-go so people can just come in and grab them.

These dinners include eggplant parm, chicken parm, meatballs, and more.

They have been offering a spaghetti and meatball dinner on Monday nights, with their own homemade Italian bread and meatballs.

Pop’s is doing contests and giveaways on Facebook several times a week and is also active on Instagram with offers and photos of their delicious food. Make sure to check out their full menu at www.popspizzacohoes.com.
